Lockport, Ill.: Applications are now being accepted for PureFest, the inaugural Christian Improv and Sketch Fest, which will be hosted in Lockport, Ill., at Cross Point Church on October 6, 2018. The first ever improv and sketch festival for faith-based teams will provide a showcase for the performing arts in the church.

Like similar improv and sketch festivals hosted in Chicago, the inaugural Christian Improv and Sketch Fest will provide a stage, platform, and community for the talented groups with a root in faith. Applications to be a part of this event are being taken now through Friday, August 31. Teams will be notified of their acceptance and time slot by September 1.
“I am truly looking forward to building our community of believers in the performing arts,” said Dave Ebert, the creator of the first ever Christian Improv and Sketch Fest. “Chicago is the American hub for improv and sketch, so why not offer a showcase, and also build the community of, teams that perform improv and sketch, but do so for a higher purpose. We believe that such teams can be just as good as their secular counterparts.”
